Dr. Gopal is a noninvasive clinical cardiologist with The Dallas Heart Group at Medical City Dallas and at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Plano, Texas. In addition, she is Medical Director of Women's Cardiology at the Heart Hospital Baylor in Plano. She is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. Her special interests include early diagnosis of heart disease with specialized imaging techniques, the prevention of cardiovascular disease, heart disease in women, heart disease during pregnancy, and state-of-the-art cardiovascular imaging, as well as transesophageal echocardiography. In addition, she has worked on advanced echocardiographic techniques such as Myocardial Contrast Echo for assessment of Myocardial Perfusion, and utilization of Contrast Echo in alcohol septal ablation procedures. She is fellowship trained in cardiovascular CT Angiography.

Dr. Gopal is the Medical Director of the Center of Excellence for Women's Cardiovascular Disease and director of Cardiovascular Imaging at the Heart Hospital Baylor - Plano. She is a speaker for the American Heart Association and gives many presentations at local universities and corporations on heart disease and, to fellow physicians on state of the art imaging techniques. In addition, she is a founding member of the Society for Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. She is well-published in her field.
